The goverment of the Republic of Namibia has received financing from the African Development Bank towards the cost of the Transport Infrastruture Improvement Project (TIIP). The Ministry of Works and Transport as the Executing Agency on behalf of the Government of the Republic of Namibia intends to apply part of the agreed amount of the loan to payments under the contract for Consulting Services of a Consultant for the Development of the Namibian Railway Qualification Framework.

The Consultant is required develop and implement a nationallly recognised, industryaligned Railway Qualification Framework (NRQF) that enhances the quality, relevance, and mobility of skills within the railway sector, in line with national standards and development priorities.

The Consultant shall guide the comprehensive development of the Namibian Railway Qualification Framework (NRQF), ensuring it effectively addresses the skills needs of the railway sector while maintaining high standards of quality, relevance and alignment with national and international frameworks.

Tje MWT now invites eligible consultants to indicate their interest in providing these services. Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified and capable to perform the services: Curriculum Vitae for the key experts description of similar assignments and relevant experience.

Eligibility criteria, establishment of the short-list and the selection procedure of the consultant shall be in accordance of the procedure for selection of Consultancy Services (CS) under the African Development Bank’s ”Procurement Framework for Bank Group Funded Operations” dated 2015, which is available on the Bank’s website at: https://www.afdb.org/en/projects-and-operations/procurement/new-procurement-policy
