PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To coordinate and control the repair and maintenance of locomotives to ensure the availability, reliability and optimum use, for the Company to achieve its business objectives.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

B.Sc. Degree in Mechanical Engineering
-
Registration as a Professional Engineer with the Engineering Council of Namibia
-
Five (5) years’ experience in a Mechanical Engineering environment with emphasis on locomotive power repair and maintenance
-
Practical knowledge of mechanical equipment and machinery repair and maintenance
-
Knowledge of costing and budgeting
-
Diagnostic skills, specialist technical skills, Planning (short, medium and long term) skills, leadership/ management skills, interpersonal skills
-
Project management/ problem solving skills, team building and analytical skills
-
Time management, self-starting initiatives, creative, independent, goal-directed, emotional maturity, self-control and flexible
