Strategically plan, organize, control and lead the TransNamib Finance Department to manage financial risks, prepare and present financial reports to Management and the Board, manage the accounting and payment processes and transactions, analyses financial data in order to advice or recommend to Management and the Board on the company’s financial situation, ensure funding is in place and harmonize enhanced supply chain efficiencies – thereby providing a cost effective world class operational financial service.


  • B Com Honours degree in Financial Management or Accounting (NQF Level 8)
  • MBA would be a distinct advantage
  • Eight years Senior financial and management accounting experience
  • Experience in the transport or logistics environment would be an advantage
  • Certified Chartered Accountant
  • Professional Membership: Institute of Chartered Accountants
  • Working knowledge of Financial models, Accounting principles and practices (IFRS)
  • Knowledge of corporate taxation strategies and budget control systems
  • Knowledge of Financial Systems & Operations, Audits and Budgets
  • Knowledge of accounting software, FICO business processes
  • Financial analysis and reporting on financial data
  • Interpersonal communication
