The Starline Passenger Service includes aircraft-like seats, air-conditioning, on-board vending machines and audio-visual entertainment systems. All towns connected to the rail system are served on a regular basis departing in the evening and arriving early morning.

If you are interested to travel on our Starline rail service, take note of the following:

• Train tickets are available at any open train station country-wide. Tickets must be pre-booked.
• Passengers must receive a ticket when payment is made and they must keep the ticket until they step off the train.
• Passengers should check-in 30 minutes prior to departure.
• Senior citizens (60 years and older) qualify for a 33% discount on their train tickets.
• One child under the age of six years traveling on the lap of an adult with a valid ticket may travel free of charge. Thereafter, any other children under the age of 12 may travel at half price. Children older than 12 years pay the normal scholar fee.
• Scholars may travel throughout the year at the off peak rate.
• In the case of discount tickets, proof of the actual age of the person must be provided.
• Regular travelers must keep their tickets to qualify for a discount after 12 trips.

TNX

TNX Priority

TNX Priority is a daily service for fast freight from road transport depots in Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban in South Africa to various centres in Namibia. Goods are containerised and trans-shipped to the railhead at Upington, South Africa before being conveyed to various destinations in Namibia.

TNX Economy

TNX Economy is a service that provides affordable rates for smaller consignments not requiring a guaranteed-delivery-time service.

OPX (Overnight Parcel Express) Service

Our OPX Services is a reliable cost-effective door-to-door overnight parcel service. TransNamib OPX delivers your parcels between all major depots or stations in Namibia. Smaller centres are serviced three times a week.
